Wenatchee Golf and Country Club is one of the oldest and most respected golf venues in the Central Washington, established in 1923 and serving golfers for a century amid the dramatic geography of north-central Washington. The club sits just east of the Cascade Mountain Range in a region known for abundant sunshine, agriculture, and scenic river valleys, which together provide a distinctive backdrop for golf in the state.

The course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout measuring 6,449 yards from the back tees, with a slope rating of 134 and a course rating of 71.2. Designed and maintained to blend with the natural terrain, its tree-lined fairways and well-conditioned greens offer a strategic challenge that rewards thoughtful play while remaining enjoyable for golfers at varying skill levels. With eight playable tee sets from five different tee markers the routing accommodates long hitters and more casual players alike.

The club’s setting in the heart of Washington’s apple country, framed by views of the Cascade Mountains and valley landscape, contributes to its reputation as one of the top courses in the region. Over the years it has hosted numerous regional tournaments, including events under the Pacific Northwest Golf Association and Washington Golf Association banners, further underscoring its standing within the broader golf community. The most recent was the WA Golf Men's Mid-AM Championship won by our clubs very own Spencer Ellis.

Wenatchee Golf and Country Club also offers comprehensive practice facilities, including a grass driving range and dedicated short-game areas for both chipping and putting, allowing players to work on all facets of their game. The club supports a full season of competitive and social golf opportunities including an annual tournament schedule and weekly men’s and women’s groups, creating both structured and casual playing opportunities for members.

Across its golf course and broader club experience, WGCC combines challenge, natural beauty, and community tradition—making it a destination for golfers who appreciate both the game and the unique landscape of central Washington.

Multiple men’s groups play each week, providing consistent opportunities for friendly competition, camaraderie, and regular play throughout the season.

The tournament schedule features a strong mix of individual and team events, accommodating both competitive players and those who enjoy a more social format. These events are well attended and thoughtfully organized, creating an atmosphere that is competitive yet welcoming and enjoyable for all participants.

The season is highlighted by the club’s premier Member-Guest tournament held at the end of May, one of the most anticipated events on the calendar. Known for its strong fields, spirited competition, and social atmosphere, the Member-Guest sets the tone for a tournament season that continues steadily through the summer and into the fall.

Together, weekly play opportunities and a full slate of tournaments make Men’s Golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club a cornerstone of the club’s golf culture, blending tradition, competition, and community throughout the season.

Women’s Golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club offers a welcoming and active program designed to support players of all skill levels and interests. The club features both an 18-hole and a 9-hole women’s division, each of which plays weekly and provides consistent opportunities for friendly competition, connection, and enjoyment of the game.

In addition to weekly play, the women’s golf program includes a variety of instructional clinics throughout the season. These clinics are designed to build confidence, improve skills, and create a comfortable learning environment for both newer golfers and those looking to refine their games.

For golfers seeking a more relaxed and social experience, the club has introduced Wine, Not Nine, a casual and popular addition to the calendar. The format is simple and approachable: play a few holes, keep no score, worry about no rules, and then gather afterward to enjoy a glass of wine with fellow members. This program has become a favorite way to introduce new golfers to the game while strengthening friendships and club camaraderie.

Together, competitive weekly play, instructional opportunities, and casual social formats make Women’s Golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club inclusive, engaging, and a vibrant part of the club’s golf culture.

Social Golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club is designed to be approachable, fun, and centered on enjoying the game together. One of the most popular offerings is Friday Night Couples, a regular event that has seen steady growth over the years and now averages more than 80 players per night.

Friday Night Couples features a low-stress format that emphasizes fun and social interaction, with just enough competition mixed in to keep things interesting. Whether participants come with a spouse, partner, or on their own, everyone is welcome. The golf shop handles pairings and mixes groups to ensure a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where members and guests can simply show up and enjoy the evening.

The highlight of the social golf calendar is the Champagne Couples Tournament, a premier two-day event that has become a destination tournament for couples golfers across the state. While club members receive first access to registration, the event is open to golfers outside the club and consistently fills quickly. With strong fields, a lively social atmosphere, and a reputation as a must-play event, Champagne Couples is truly a can’t-miss weekend and a showcase of the club’s vibrant social golf culture.

Junior Golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club is a cornerstone of the club’s culture and history. The club takes great pride in junior golf, with many current members having grown up learning the game on the WGCC course. That long-standing tradition continues today through a variety of programs designed to introduce, develop, and support young golfers at every stage.

The junior offerings include PGA Junior League, structured junior golf camps, and the newly introduced Birdie Basics program, which is focused on the club’s youngest players. Birdie Basics provides a fun, welcoming way for “the littles” to explore the game of golf through age-appropriate instruction and activities that emphasize enjoyment and fundamentals.

For older juniors, the club offers a seasonal Junior Golf Program that provides high school–age players access to the golf course when sponsored by an adult member. This program helps bridge the gap between junior instruction and regular course play while reinforcing etiquette, responsibility, and love for the game.

One of the highlights of the season is the Junior Club Championship Match, which runs concurrently with the remainder of the club championship matches. This event consistently draws some of the largest crowds of the championship week, reflecting the strong support and excitement surrounding junior golf at Wenatchee Golf and Country Club.
